Quality: Our Promise to Every Customer

Consistent quality control and complete documentation

Quality is non-negotiable. At Atlas MBD, quality is not an add-on feature but the foundation of our work. Every component that leaves our facility has been thoroughly checked and meets your specifications. We work with modern measuring instruments, document every critical process, and give you complete transparency about the quality of your parts.

Our Quality Process

Quality assurance at Atlas MBD takes place in four distinct phases:

1

Order Receipt and Review

When we receive an order, we review the drawing, tolerances and requirements. We check whether everything is precisely specified and whether we can achieve the requirements with our equipment. If anything is unclear, we ask immediately.

2

Manufacturing Planning

We define process steps, check points and control methods. For series production, a sample run (First Article) is carried out to confirm that all tolerances are achievable. Measurement reports are documented.

3

In-Process Control

During manufacturing, regular measurements are performed. After each machining step, critical dimensions are checked. Statistical Process Monitoring (SPC) shows us whether we are within the specification window. Deviations are detected and corrected immediately.

4

Final Inspection and Delivery

All parts are finally inspected. We measure key dimensions, check surfaces and perform visual inspections. Inspection reports with all measurements are sent with the delivery. You receive full transparency.

Our Quality Arsenal

Digital Measuring Instruments

Digital callipers, micrometers and depth gauges with high accuracy. All measuring instruments are regularly calibrated.

Gauges and Fixtures

For series production, we use gauges (Go/NoGo) that allow fast and reliable control on the production line.

SPC and Documentation

Statistical Process Monitoring to monitor process stability. All measurement values are documented in our database.

Surface Control

Roughness measurements with digital roughness gauges. Visual inspection for scratches, cracks and deformations.

Dimension and Form Control

Geometric control: flatness, runout, cylindricity and other GD&T parameters according to specifications.

Weight Control

For series production, weight checks are performed to ensure that no material is missing or present in excess.

Certifications and Standards

Atlas MBD operates to high industry standards. Our processes follow ISO 9001 principles for quality management. We are in the process of formalising our quality procedures and obtaining ISO certifications.

ISO 9001

Quality Management System that ensures consistent quality across all operations

DIN EN ISO 286

Inspection Reports and Documentation

With each delivery, you receive inspection reports. These include:

  • Measurement records with all critical dimensions
  • Surface roughness measurements (if specified)
  • Tolerance check (Go/NoGo or actual values)
  • Visual inspection results
  • Heat treatment reports (if applicable)
  • Batch numbers and traceability
  • Signature of the responsible inspector

Our Quality Commitment

100% Inspection

Every component is inspected. No sampling, no assumptions.

Preventive not Reactive

We control in-process and respond immediately to deviations. This is cheaper and better than fixing defects in the field.

Full Traceability

Every component can be traced back to raw material and process parameters. We know where it was and how it was processed.
